SYGNITION | INTRODUCTION
Sygnition is based in The Netherlands and was established in April 2025 by freelance owner Stefan Jansen.
One key reason for starting the company was the personal dream for a bit of professional freedom
to irregularly execute services for clients in the broadest technical and technological range,
including (but not limited to) software development, system integration,
electrics, electronics, tooling, domotics, automotive, marine and energy management.
The other key reason was the quest for creating a professional environment
for bringing some boiling technological and innovative ideas to live.
The result is a freshly started freelance company with the catalyc name Sygnition.

SYGNITION | ZERO-ENERGY WATER HEATER CONTROL
May 2025 update
The zero-energy water heater control system has succesfully been ported to the ultra-compact and low-cost Raspberry Pi Pico W, which greatly reduces the physical footprint and material costs of the solution. The Pico also offers greater flexibility in serial communication parameters, eliminated the need for external signal conditioning. The first consolidated prototype of the zero-energy water heater control system is expected to be ready end of this month.

The video on the right is a short recording of a proof-of-concept of the in-house developed zero-energy water heater control system. The system drives a water heater with júst the amount of excess power originating from domestic solar panels; this is the amount of power that would otherwise be returned to the public grid. Key benefit of this concept is that when the Dutch government ends the 'netting scheme' on January 1, 2027, that households can decide to consume their own spare energy instead of getting billed for returning it to the public grid.
The control software runs on Raspberry Pi and the flexible power control is made possible by Sensata Technologies.

Ordered customer-specific materials must be paid in advance.
Warranty only includes the possible transferable conditional standard factory warranty on materials.
Client accepts all risk and indemnifies Sygnition from all liability for any (consequential) damage or injury.

Only the absolute minimally required client information needed for performing the agreed activities is stored, in a secure way.
This generally only includes the client name, e-mail, postal address and bank account number.
None of this information is shared externally, unless specifically requested by the client itself.
